Video Tennis Tip – Aug 2, 2007 – How to Handle the High Bouncing “Kick” Serve

A common question I get is how to handle that high bouncing incoming “kick” serve.

There are 3 key elements to be successful with this shot.

1.   Commit to a full shoulder turn so your front shoulder is pointing at the incoming serve.
2.   Keep the hands loose and soft so you can adjust the eventual bounce direction
3.   On your backhand side, play a slice on level swing plane

I really want to read your comments about this tip.  Please come on back after you view this clip and give me some feedback.

Thanks,

Brent
