Hi thnx for a great tip, i practiced my spin serve a while ago but without much succes.
Anyway I don’t really know what the difference is between this and a kick serve. Hope you can clear it up for me. thnx, Nick
These tips are one gem after another. Thanks so much, Brent. Since your video tips, and other instructional videos are filmed from a distance to show the full range of swing motion, one small suggestion is to mix it up a bit and show some close-ups of how the racket strikes the ball (you can either slow-mo it in your video editing program before uploading, or the viewer can step through it frame by frame using the keyboard arrow keys; my guess is you’d probably need to slow-mo it before posting), especially when you are trying to impart spin on the ball, such as the Top-Spin Serve. I think that would really help nail down your point about the leading edge of the racket coming up the back of the ball, rather than hitting the side. It would take some savvy camera-work, but I’ll bet it can be done without aggravating the cameraman too much.
