Inconsistent…

If you’re inconsistent with your shot making, especially your one-handed backhand, you know as well as I do what havoc that can wreak on your game.

Not only do you give away free points by simply not getting the ball back into play, but your confidence takes a major nose dive, and the rest of your game can quickly unravel.

You’re only a game or two into a match with a brand new opponent, and you’re just praying this new opponent doesn’t play too many shots to your backhand.

Why?  Because after you make a couple of unforced errors with your backhand, you just know your opponent is going to do everything he can to get every one of his shots over to your backhand.

So to hide the inconsistency in your backhand you start to run around it to hit more forehands.
